Donald J. Trump

President

Donald John Trump is an American politician, media personality, and businessman who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021. Trump received a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. His father named him president of his real estate business in 1971. As president, he signed a major tax reform bill into law and oversaw a reduction of federal regulations. His protectionist trade policies included tariffs in foreign aluminum, steel, and other products. The Trump administration also renegotiated trade agreements with Mexico, Canada, China, Japan, and South Korea. Other domestic priorities included Supreme Court and federal judiciary appointments, increased military budgets, aggressive border and immigration control, criminal justice reform, and the reduction of prescription drug prices.

JD Vance

Vice President

JD was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, a once flourishing American manufacturing town where Ohioans could live content, middle-class lives on single incomes. Over time, many of those good jobs disappeared, and JD’s family suffered the effects along with many others. Turbulence was common at home and at school. His grandmother, called Mamaw, was his saving grace. Her tough love and discipline kept him on the straight and narrow. A “blue dog” Democrat, she owned 19 handguns and nurtured a deep Christian faith in herself and her family. She died in 2005, shortly after JD enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. JD went on to serve our nation in the Iraq War, then graduated from The Ohio State University and Yale Law School. He wrote a bestselling book, Hillbilly Elegy, which was turned into a Netflix movie. He also started a business dedicated to growing jobs and opportunity in the American heartland.

Nancy Mace

Congress - 1st Congressional District

Congresswoman Nancy Mace grew up in the Lowcountry. She graduated magna cum laude from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, where she was the school’s first female to graduate from its Corps of Cadets in 1999. Mace has collaborated with her colleagues on a bipartisan basis and managed to get a handful of bills signed into law by the President, including the Quantum Computing Cybersecurity Preparedness Act and the Human Trafficking Prevention Act of 2022. A devoted mother to two teenagers, Mace continues to serve the Lowcountry with unwavering dedication and resilience.

Tom Davis

SC State Senator - District 46

Sen. Tom Davis has lived in Beaufort, South Carolina, since 1985, practicing law at the firm of Harvey & Battey, P.A. He is the managing partner in the firm's real estate department. In November 2008, Sen. Davis was elected State Senator for South Carolina Senate District 46, which is comprised of almost all of southern Beaufort County, a portion of northern Beaufort County, and a portion of Jasper County; he was re-elected to second and third four-year terms in 2012 and 2016.

Chip Campsen

SC State Senator - District 43

George E. “Chip” Campsen III is a Republican member of the South Carolina Senate. He has represented Senate District 43 since 2004 which includes coastal portions of Charleston, Beaufort & Colleton Counties. An avid outdoorsman and surfer, Chip has spent a lifetime of adventures along this coast and knows it like the back of his hand. He typically spends free time with his family hunting, fishing, surfing, and managing forestland for wildlife habitat and sustainable harvest.

Jeff Bradley

SC State House Representative - District 123

Representative Jeff Bradley has served in the South Carolina House of Representatives representing District 123 since 2015. He is the Chairman of the House Regulations and Administrative Procedures Committee.

Shannon Erickson

SC State House Representative - District 124

Shannon Erickson, an educator and business owner, was first elected to the SC House of Representatives, District 124, in 2007. Shannon believes in building consensus and coalitions through grassroots citizen involvement and smaller, more accountable government. Representative Erickson chairs the Transportation and Regulatory Budget Subcommittee. She is a pro-business & pro-environment leader. Shannon grew up in Florence, SC and graduated from USC-Beaufort with a BA in Early Childhood Education. She and her husband, Kendall F. Erickson, CPA, live in Beaufort.
