2022 - A Year of Success

We wish you a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, and a Happy New Year. This is a good time to reflect on our accomplishments. You helped us meet or exceed all of our goals in 2022.

A record number of precinct executive committee members participated in the October business meeting and delivered a resounding "vote of confidence” to BCRP leadership, 56-2. They also voted unanimously for the appointments of Carmen Manning as Vice Chair (Operations), Ed Stevenson as Treasurer, and Xiaodan Li as Beaufort County’s representative on the State Executive Committee.

As we enter the joyful holiday season, we have much to celebrate:

  • In the mid-term election, Republican candidates won every partisan race in Beaufort County by record margins (26-0), including flipping a state house seat from D to R (Hampton/Jasper/Beaufort).

  • BCRP covered approx. 75% of polling places with either poll watchers or member poll workers.

  • Our Beaufort County Legislative Delegation assumed important Committee leadership roles.

  • BCRP membership grew 25% in 2022 to become the largest county Republican Party in South Carolina.

We proved that by working together with grassroots groups and our county legislative delegation we can accomplish great things for Beaufort County and South Carolina.

A BIG Thank You to Xiaodan Li and Friends of Liberty for participating in redistricting, and for getting the omnibus election bill signed into law that significantly reduced loopholes for potential fraud, such as mail-in ballots and ballot harvesting.

Looking ahead, 2023 will begin with precinct re-organization and a renewed effort to “Keep Beaufort County Free” by electing “Common Sense Conservatives.”

We have much to do in the new year. Until then, I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, and a Great New Year!
