LIFE IN RETIREMENT (since 2011) has been centered around being of service to residents in the Low Country and Beaufort County including:
* 8 years of service on the Beaufort County Library Board of Trustees; Chair of the Trustees in 2020-present
*10 years of service in the governance of Sun City Hilton Head (currently in my 6th year on the Board or Directors, Vice President 2020-present)
* 10 years of service through the AARP Foundation Tax Program with 7 years as District Coordinator for the Bluffton/Hilton Head area
* Director at Large for Staying Connected Board of Directors
PROFESSIONAL CAREER INCLUDES:
* 30 years of service in public education in Ohio (Asst. Superintendent of 10th largest Ohio public school district, Director of Curriculum, Middle School Principal, Teacher of Mathematics)
* 7 years as an Educational Consultant, Professional Development Director working with a Consortium of school districts to provide professional development for school principals in leadership, and for mathematics teachers around sound instructional practices
EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIALS INCLUDE:
* Ph.D. from Cleveland State University in Urban Educational Administration
* M.Ed. from John Carroll University in Administration/ Supervision,
* BA in Mathematics from Case-Western Reserve University
